Consultation on the Draft Admissions Policy for Minerva Primary Academy 2027-2028

Admissions authorities are required to consult on their admission arrangements whenever a change to the arrangements are proposed, or if no changes are proposed, every 7 years. As such the Cabot Learning Federation is consulting on the admissions arrangements for Minerva Primary Academy, for students joining from September 2027.

The consultation period will run from 19 December 2025 to 31 January 2026 (minimum of 6 weeks)

Minerva Primary Academy is consulting as they are implementing a new admissions policy for students joining from September 2027.

At Minerva Primary Academy we follow the Bristol City Council admissions routine.

Mid year admissions for pupils in years Reception to Year 6

If you would like your child to attend Minerva Primary Academy, we offer tours.  If you have decided that you’d like your child to attend, you will need to complete an application online with Bristol City council.

Once you have completed you application, a member of staff will contact you to arrange a start date.

Reception Admissions for September 2024

If your child due to start Reception in September 2024 we would be delighted to give you a tour of our school and answer questions you will have.

Pre-School Class Admissions

Children can be accepted for the Pre-School Class from the age of 3 years.

The date your child can start Pre-School depends on your child’s birthday as detailed below:

Child’s birthday 1 January to 31 March child can start the beginning of term on or after 1 April
Child’s birthday 1 April to 31 August child can start beginning of term on or after 1 September
Child’s birthday 1 September to 31 December child can start beginning of term on or after 1 January

Having accepted the offer of a place, our team will visit you and your child at home to start the positive relationship we have with our families.  After this initial visit your child will be welcomed for a short visit and then we will work with you to create a transition timetable to ensure your child settles well.  Prior to applying for a place, you are welcome to contact the team for a visit.
