Minerva pupils get planting at Hillfields community garden
Pupils from Minerva Primary Academy had a fantastic time getting green-fingered during a special visit to Hillfields community garden.
Taking part in a hands-on planting activity, pupils eagerly sowed seeds with hopes of soon harvesting delicious runner beans.
This exciting outdoor learning experience gave pupils a chance to connect with nature, develop their gardening skills, and learn about the importance of growing their own food.
The visit not only encouraged teamwork and responsibility but also reinforced valuable lessons about sustainability and healthy eating.
Hillfields community garden is a valued green space in the local area, providing a wonderful setting for community engagement and environmental education.
A spokesperson said: “This setting inspired pupils through interactive learning opportunities that promote curiosity, responsibility, and a love for nature.
“This garden visit was just one of many exciting ways the academy encourages outdoor learning and environmental awareness.”
