Minerva Primary Academy Pupils Gear Up for BMX Adventure
Pupils at Minerva Primary Academy were buzzing with excitement as they embarked on their first-ever trip to the Hillfields pump track, where they had the opportunity to learn about and experience riding BMX bikes.
This hands-on educational outing aimed to build cycling confidence, foster resilience, and inspire a love of sports in the students.
While some pupils were initially feeling a bit nervous due to their lack of confidence on bikes, they were eager to embrace the challenge, display their skills, and work hard to improve.
On the other hand, a group of enthusiastic and confident pupils are dreaming big. Many have set their sights high, claiming that they are ready to join the 2028 Great Britain Olympic team in Los Angeles! Their enthusiasm has been a source of motivation for the entire group.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “We are thrilled to offer our pupils this exciting opportunity to try BMX biking at the Hillfields pump track. This trip is not only about learning how to ride bikes; it’s about building confidence, resilience, and encouraging pupils to push themselves beyond their comfort zones.”
The Hillfields pump track visit was a day filled with fun, learning, and a newfound passion for BMX biking, sparking excitement for future cycling activities at the academy.
