Young chefs cook up a storm at Minerva

Year 2 pupils at Minerva Primary Academy put their culinary skills to the test as they made a delicious homemade soup.

As well as other fresh ingredients, the children carefully chopped potatoes, turnips, and carrots to create their nutritious dish.

As part of the activity, pupils also learned about the importance of eating a balanced, healthy diet and practising good hygiene in the kitchen.

A spokesperson for Minerva Primary Academy said: “We’re incredibly proud of our pupils for getting hands-on in the kitchen.

“Activities like this not only help them understand where food comes from but also teach valuable life skills and encourage healthy eating habits from a young age.”
