Pupils at Minerva Primary Academy become geographers

Year 3 pupils at Minerva Primary Academy have been taking an exciting journey into geography, learning all about Bristol and the South West region of England.

As part of their studies, children have been exploring maps and atlases to deepen their understanding of local landmarks, geography, and culture.

Their curiosity and enthusiasm have sparked thoughtful discussions in the classroom, helping them connect their learning to the world around them.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We are so proud of the way our pupils have embraced geography this term.

“Their curiosity about the world, starting with their own city and region, shows just how adventurous and engaged they are as learners.

“This work not only helps them understand maps and places but also builds a sense of pride in their local community.”
