Pupils at Minerva explore forces and gravity

Year 3 pupils at Minerva Primary Academy have been diving into their latest science topic: forces and gravity.

Pupils used their jumping skills to investigate how gravity affects their bodies and developed their oracy skills by discussing what gravity is, how it works, and why it is important in everyday life.

Working alongside our learning partners, pupils also explored different types of forces particularly push and pull, through a series of hands-on, practical activities that brought scientific concepts to life.

The excitement and curiosity in the classroom have been clear to see. They absolutely love being scientists.

A school spokesperson said: “It has been wonderful to see the children questioning, experimenting, and discovering for themselves.

“Their enthusiasm for science shows how powerful learning can be when it is active, collaborative, and full of awe and wonder.”
