Pupils at Minerva Academy create stunning night lights

Pupils at Minerva Primary Academy have been showcasing their creativity and teamwork by designing and making fantastic night lights as part of their designer’s unit.

The project was inspired by their book club text, The Girl Who Stole an Elephant, with each night light themed around elements of the story.

This hands-on learning experience encouraged collaboration, imagination, and practical design skills.

The results were bright, vibrant, and full of character—truly reflecting the pupils enthusiasm and engagement with the book.

A spokesperson said: “It was fantastic to see pupils working together so positively.

“Their creativity and dedication really shone through in the final designs.

“Projects like these show the power of learning through doing—our pupils were proud of what they achieved, and rightly so.”
